During her time at Lurie Children's Hospital Danielle learned the evidence-based FAST-B and Incredible Years programs. She integrates them here to provide families a faster version of what works.
The First Approach Skills Training Program (FAST-B) is a research protocol that reduces emotional dysregulation and meltdowns while increasing listening up to 90%. Danielle coaches parents and tailors the program to their child in fewer than 4 sessions.
For anxious kids, we coach parents using Supportive Parenting Through Anxious Childhood Emotions (S.P.A.C.E.). S.P.A.C.E. was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center and has been tested and found to be efficacious in randomized controlled clinical trials.
Parents who participate in SPACE will learn skills and tools to help their child overcome anxiety, OCD or related problems.
The treatment focuses on changes that parents can make to their own behavior, they do not need to make their child change. S.P.A.C.E. averages about 4 sessions with parents before individual work with the child begins.
Did you know one scary or painful experience can result in years of kiddos not wanting to poop in the toilet? Danielle has a decade of experience of using behavioral strategies that ease a child into wanting to use the toilet. This parent training program will help you help your child.
Are you receiving calls from the teacher about behavior and want to know what is really going on? Having an outside therapist can be helpful in advocating for the full accommodations and modifications your child deserves. Danielle has ten years' of experience as a school social worker and her Type 73. She will observe your child, write up an Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA) and even coach teachers on strategies they can employ. Observation & FBA report $500.
At SuperKids Chicago we treat:
We are proud to provide you high-quality, effective, goal-driven therapy with a combined 25 years' experience between the two of us. After years of being undervalued by insurance companies, we are currently only accepting new patients via BCBS PPO (we are in-network) and private pay. If you have other insurance, we provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement. Our families have great success getting reimbursement out-of-network. Therapy is $200 per session. Reduced cost and pro bono therapy offered to those in financial crisis.
Parent coaching is $300 for the first session and $200 thereafter. Families average only 3 sessions before seeing over 60%-90% improvement (based on parent reporting) and a "happier, calmer home"!
